Linen Lace and Patchwork are proud to present further magnificent ranges of ethically-sourced traditional patchwork quilts from India. All of the quilts on this page are made out of home-spun woven fabrics which are literally woven by family owned power-looms in their dwellings. Because of the timeless designs and heirloom quality they make ideal wedding gifts.

Each of the quilts is made with thousands of tiny intricate patches, hand-guided, machine-stitched and painstakingly hand-quilted. Some of these quilts have as many as 11733 patches and take than a month, 30 working days, 240 hours, 14400 minutes to make.

Tea-dyed quilts are literally over-dyed in boiling tea water to give them that vintage & antique look. Hand-quilting is done by women living in the countryside, who with this opportunity, are able to generate income, send their children to school and take care of families.

Many of the designs would be ideal for older children and teenage girls and boys bedrooms, filling that awkward gap when they've grown out of more juvenile designs.
