Bayeux Norman Fleet

This is a very small part of the tapestry of Bayeux, also called 'Tapisserie de la Reien Mathilde'. It was made in the 11th century and can still be seen in Bayeux. The original work measures 70 metres in length by 50cm in height. The represents the conquest of England by William the Conqueror. Duke of Normandy in 1066. Code: 941
